Age Divisions:
PLAY will field teams in 10U and 12U age divisions. An 8U team will be formed if there is enough demand to field a team and a coaching staff is in place
Registration:
Registration for fall tackle football opens in mid/late April.
* The Age Divisions are based on the player's age as of September 1. For example, if a player is 10 on September 1 they are eligible to play in the 10U division even if their 11th birthday falls on September 2.
* Registration will be open until teams are full in their respective age division or until registration ends, whichever comes first. Teams may fill up before the actual registration end date so please don't hesitate to register. There are no guaranteed openings if teams are full or for late registrations*
Equipment Needed:
PLAY will provide full game uniforms and practice jerseys, but each player will be responsible for their own equipment. Do not wait until the last minute to shop for equipment.
Your player will need the following equipment:
- Football Helmet
- Shoulder Pads
- Practice Pants
- Cleats
- Mouthguard (Powdersville Orthodontics will have a mouthguard fitting for all players)
Season Schedule:
- Mid July - Summer conditioning starts (helmets only)
- End July - Full pad practice starts two weeks after summer conditioning
- August - October - Play Games
Practices:
Practices will typically be held during the week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. *This is subject to change depending on the team and coaches schedule. Practices will be held at Dolly Cooper Park or Siloam Baptist Church.
Games:
Games will tentatively be held on Mondays and Tuesdays during the season. There will be some playoff games on a Saturday at the end of the season. The game schedule will not be released until early August.
